Position Description

LSS Engineer Roles and Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting Design and Construction to ensure Fire Alarm (FAS), Fire Protection systems (FPS), and Toxic Gas Monitoring Systems (TGMS) meet code and industry best-known practices.
  • Evaluating needs to be based on Processes and Equipment (Tools).
  • Specifying and designing life safety systems associated with process systems, including Ultra High Purity gas and chemical distribution systems, Ultrapure Water Generation, and Wastewater Treatment.
  • Assisting in developing tool and Hazardous Process Material (HPM) room layout concepts to support process and workflow needs and safe chemical and gas handling.
  • Coordinating with architects and engineers in the design of fire alarms, smoke, and leak detection, intrusion detection systems, etc. using/from 3D BIM models, AutoCAD, Revit MEP, etc.
  • Providing LSS designs that quantify and validate adequate abatement and effluent treatment for air, liquid, or solid waste streams.
  • Documenting technical decisions and data during fast-paced technical meetings and communicate needs to other team members or disciplines.
  • Developing environmental, health and safety plans for Cleanrooms, Labs, and hazardous process materials storage and dispensing.
  • Using the various applicable Life Safety & Fire codes as well as industry standards to provide calculations; equipment size and quantities; equipment and construction specifications; network diagrams and addressing, and various construction deliverables in both 2D and 3D platforms for a constructible design.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Sciences which provides ability to attain PE licensure

Job Description

Banda Group International, LLC (BGI) is currently accepting applications for a Business Development (BD) Professional to conduct business development activities for our Eastern Region. The position is full-time and based in our Oak Ridge, TN office. The BD Professional will be charged with generating new business contacts, opportunities, and revenue for BGI’s Eastern Region in our existing market sectors.  

The BD Professional will be integrated into the BGI Team and will work closely with the Senior BD Manager. Working independently and within team setting is required. To assist in developing and growing BGI, this position is required to gather market intelligence, identify business opportunities, pitch services to new and former clients, maintain a good working relationship with all departments within BGI, and maximize BGI’s business reach and potential. Specific growth objectives will be established on an annual basis and the Senior Business Development Manager will be involved in establishing growth goals and rolling out the growth and development strategy to the Directors.

The Senior Business Development Manager will work closely with regions and assign support for proposals and pursuits, as needed. The Business Development Manager and any other Business Development support staff will report directly to the Senior Business Development Manager, and he/she will be responsible for management and performance of Business Development support staff.

This position is key to company’s overall growth and pursuit strategy and will be required to interface with the Senior Leadership Team frequently. The role requires a strong understanding of marketing and sales initiatives, ability to work under pressure in a face-paced environment. This position requires management and supervisory skills and the ability to manage a diverse work force.

Essential Skills

  • Work with the President, Sr Vice President, Vice President, and Regional
    Directors to create a business development plan.
  • Research recommend and develop strategic teaming partnerships, Joint
    Ventures, and Mentor Protege relationships that are beneficial to the overall
    growth of the company.
  • Assist in the development of business development strategies; identify
    roadblocks and drive new business from conception through closure.
  • Prepare strategies for Leadership review and consideration.
  • Advance strategies that are approved and manage the process, including support staff needed.
  • Lead the Business Development Team to implement the Business Development
    Plan and achieve growth goals.
  • Lead the Business Development Team to maintain a pipeline of business opportunities.
  • Understand the companies projects, sectors, and markets, current and historical.
  • Have an in-depth knowledge of business service lines and value proposition.
  • Have a solid understanding of stakeholders and the ability to provide feedback to the companies Leadership on identified stakeholders.
  • Identify and track business strengths and customer needs.
  • Report on successes and areas needing improvements.
  • Lead the proposal efforts, including any support staff needed during the proposals/bid processes.
  • Assist in the development of client relationships and manage and retain relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Follow up on new business opportunity leads and contact potential clients.
  • Prepare presentations and marketing materials to convey capabilities.
  • Increase client base and market presence.
  • Attend networking and industry events.
  • Create and maintain a list/database of prospect clients

Qualifications

To effectively preform the job of as Senior Business Development Manager, the following qualifications and skills are needed:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation of group presentations and meetings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel,
    PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat
  • Strategic thinking to identify and develop partnerships and teaming arrangements.
  • Persuasive and goal-oriented
  • Stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with design and implementation of business development strategy
  • Conflict resolution
  • The ability to self-motivate and motivate a team.
  • Experience working to and exceeding targets.
  • Ability to effectively manage a team.
  • Willingness to travel to conferences and office to support Business Development efforts.
  • Ability to interface with Senior Leadership and make business development recommendations to assist in the growth and overall success of the company.
