Business Development Professional – Oak Ridge, TN

Business Development Professional – Oak Ridge, TN

Banda Group International, LLC (BGI) is currently accepting applications for a Business Development (BD) Professional to perform business development activities for the Eastern United States (US) and will be in the BGI Oak Ridge, TN office. The BD Professional will be charged with generating new business opportunities and revenue for BGI. Work will be focused in the Tennessee-area and the entire Eastern US in the market sectors in which BGI has past performance.

The BD Professional will be integrated into the BGI Team and will work closely with the BD Manager. Working independently and within team setting is required. To assist in developing and growing BGI, this position is required to identify business opportunities, pitch goods or services to new and former clients, maintain a good working relationship with all departments within BGI, maximize BGI’s business reach and potential. Technical and billable duties may be incorporated into this position, as needed.

The ideal candidate will be integrated into the local market and have a background in a STEM field, safety, construction, or marketing and must have excellent written and oral communication and computer skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow industry trends regionally and across the US, with specific emphasis on established BGI market sectors and service lines.
• Understand BGI projects, sectors, and markets, current and historical. Have an in-depth knowledge of business service lines and value proposition.
• Assist with the development and implementation of growth strategies/plans.
• Assist in developing strategic teaming partnerships.
• Identify target business opportunities and complete research on prospective client’s business needs.
• Develop, manage, and retain relationships with new and existing clients.
• Coordinate and craft winning responses to federal, state, and commercial procurement opportunities.
This includes requests for quotes, request for information, and requests for proposals.
• Develop polished, BGI-branded proposals, bid materials, presentations, web content, and marketing
materials.
• Represent BGI at industry networking and marketing events.
• Perform project support in one of BGI’s primary services lines: Health & Safety, Environmental
Characterization & Remediation, and Construction Management & Oversight, as needed.
• Travel as needed for participation in meetings, conferences, and industry events.
Role Requirements
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation of group presentations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Adobe Acrobat.
• Social media skills.
• STEM, safety, construction, or marketing background.
• Ability to quickly adapt into a new organization and make immediate impact through a positive and proactive nature, high energy level and credible experience.
• Must have strong interpersonal skills, be goal and performance oriented and be able to set priorities.
• Attention to detail to provide high quality deliverables to internal and external clients.
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to a wide variety of stakeholders.
• Time management skills and the ability to multi-task
• Experience with design and implementation of business development strategy.
• The ability to self-motivate and motivate a team.
• Experience working to and exceeding targets.
• Pass drug test and background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with
the Company’s driving policy.
