Job Description

Banda Group International, LLC (BGI) is currently accepting applications for a Business Development (BD) Professional to conduct business development activities for our Eastern Region. The position is full-time and based in our Oak Ridge, TN office. The BD Professional will be charged with generating new business contacts, opportunities, and revenue for BGI’s Eastern Region in our existing market sectors.  

The BD Professional will be integrated into the BGI Team and will work closely with the Senior BD Manager. Working independently and within team setting is required. To assist in developing and growing BGI, this position is required to gather market intelligence, identify business opportunities, pitch services to new and former clients, maintain a good working relationship with all departments within BGI, and maximize BGI’s business reach and potential. Technical and project-related billable duties may be incorporated into this position, as needed.

The ideal candidate will be integrated into the Oak Ridge/Knoxville market and have B2G experience particularly with the U.S. Department of Energy, Tennessee Valley Authority, Veteran’s Administration, or the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow industry trends regionally and across the US, with specific emphasis on established BGI market sectors and service lines. 
  • Understand BGI projects, sectors, and markets, current and historical. Have an in-depth knowledge of our value proposition.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of growth strategies/plans.
  • Assist in developing strategic teaming partnerships. 
  • Identify target business opportunities and complete research on prospective client’s business needs. 
  • Develop, manage, and retain relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Coordinate and craft winning responses to federal, state, and commercial procurement opportunities. This includes requests for quotes, request for information, and requests for proposals.
  • Develop polished, BGI-branded proposals, bid materials, presentations, web content, and marketing materials.
  • Represent BGI at industry networking and marketing events.
  • Perform project work in one of BGI’s primary services lines: Health & Safety, Environmental Characterization & Remediation, and Construction Management & Oversight, as needed.
  • Travel as needed for participation in meetings, conferences, and industry events.

Role Requirements 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation of group presentations.

  • STEM, safety, construction, or marketing background.

Job Description

BGI is seeking detail-oriented carpenters to work on a variety of carpentry tasks. Carpenters should be able to interpret architectural blueprints and ensure the safety and quality of the final product.

Requirements 

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • 3 to 5 years + experience in construction

Laborer – North Phoenix, AZ

Laborer – North Phoenix, AZ

Job Description

Construction Laborers support teams of Foremen, Construction Carpenters, Form Setters, Finishers, etc. Construction Laborers assist these teams in completing BGI’s variety of construction projects. Under immediate supervision, Construction Laborers perform common labor work necessary in general maintenance work. Laborers operate any mechanical or power-driven apparatus or equipment essential to the performance of the duties of this position. Performs related duties as required.

Responsibilities

  • Cleaning and preparing construction sites
  • Digging trenches, compacting earth, and backfilling holes
  • Follow instructions from supervisors to implement construction plans
  • Assist skilled tradespeople in their duties

Requirements 

  • 2 to 5 years + experience in construction work
  • Commercial construction experience preferred

Security Officer (Full- & Part-Time) – North Phoenix, AZ

Job Description

Security Officer would undertake the surveillance of the premises and protection of staff and visitors on a construction site. You will be responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, thefts, or other criminal behavior. A security officer must be well-trained in surveillance and dealing with perpetrators. The ideal candidate will inspire respect and authority as well as possess a high level of observation. The goal is to help the company in maintaining excellent working conditions by keeping facilities safe and problem-free.

Responsibilities:

  • Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence
  • Monitor and authorize entrance of vehicles or people in the property
  • Remove wrongdoers or trespassers from the area
  • Secure all exits, doors and windows after end of operations
  • Check surveillance cameras periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful acts
  • Investigate people for suspicious activity or possessions
  • Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation
  • Provide assistance to people in need
  • Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as security officer or guard
  • Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety
  • Familiarity with report writing in detail and observation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills a must
  • Familiar with CPTED, Incident Command System and Critical Infrastructure protection

Senior Business Development Manager – Albuquerque, NM

Senior Business Development Manager is a senior position within our company, and as such has some important duties and responsibilities to fulfil, with both short and long-term goals to achieve. The Senior Business Development Manager reports directly to the Vice President of Corporate Strategy and is responsible for leading company business development efforts and revenue growth for the company. Specific growth objectives will be established on an annual basis and the Senior Business Development Manager will be involved in establishing growth goals and rolling out the growth and development strategy to the Directors.

The Senior Business Development Manager will work closely with regions and assign support for proposals and pursuits, as needed. The Business Development Manager and any other Business Development support staff will report directly to the Senior Business Development Manager, and he/she will be responsible for management and performance of Business Development support staff.

This position is key to company’s overall growth and pursuit strategy and will be required to interface with the Senior Leadership Team frequently. The role requires a strong understanding of marketing and sales initiatives, ability to work under pressure in a face-paced environment. This position requires management and supervisory skills and the ability to manage a diverse work force.

Essential Skills

  • Work with the President, Sr Vice President, Vice President, and Regional
    Directors to create a business development plan.
  • Research recommend and develop strategic teaming partnerships, Joint
    Ventures, and Mentor Protege relationships that are beneficial to the overall
    growth of the company.
  • Assist in the development of business development strategies; identify
    roadblocks and drive new business from conception through closure.
  • Prepare strategies for Leadership review and consideration.
  • Advance strategies that are approved and manage the process, including support staff needed.
  • Lead the Business Development Team to implement the Business Development
    Plan and achieve growth goals.
  • Lead the Business Development Team to maintain a pipeline of business opportunities.
  • Understand the companies projects, sectors, and markets, current and historical.
  • Have an in-depth knowledge of business service lines and value proposition.
  • Have a solid understanding of stakeholders and the ability to provide feedback to the companies Leadership on identified stakeholders.
  • Identify and track business strengths and customer needs.
  • Report on successes and areas needing improvements.
  • Lead the proposal efforts, including any support staff needed during the proposals/bid processes.
  • Assist in the development of client relationships and manage and retain relationships with new and existing clients.
