BGI Forms Joint Venture with Bristol Environmental Remediation Services

BGI and Bristol Environmental Remediation Services, LLC (BERS) have formed a joint venture, BGI-BERS JV, LLC. BERS is a wholly owned subsidiary of Bristol Industries, LLC, an Alaska Native-Owned Corporation, and a member of the Bristol Alliance of Companies. BERS works in some of the most challenging environments – from remote Alaska islands to isolated desert locations throughout the Western U.S. Capabilities include environmental consulting, remediation of contaminated sites, waste characterization and disposal, contaminated environmental media removal and/or treatment, facility demolition, pipeline closure, and munitions response services. The company’s environmental experts include professional and experienced engineers, chemists, geologists, hydrologists, environmental scientists, AutoCAD/Geographic Information Systems (GIS) specialists, and environmental technicians. BERS employs 31 highly qualified staff and have back-office support of an additional 231 professionals. The Bristol Alliance of Companies operates out of 13 offices nationwide.

BGI and BERS have joined forces to capitalize on BGI’s U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) experience and BERS’ U.S. Army Corps of Engineers experience. BGI has performed work for DOE and the National Nuclear Security Administration both as a prime contractor and as a subcontractor. BGI has worked at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and currently works at Los Alamos National Laboratory, Sandia National Laboratory, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and Y-12. BERS has a long history for working for USACE and have successfully executed over $1.3 B in contracts for the Omaha, Philadelphia, Sacramento, Alaska, Albuquerque, Charleston, Fort Worth, Los Angeles, Louisville, Savannah, Seattle, and Wilmington Districts.
