BGI Welcomes ISO 45001
Banda Group International (BGI) proudly served as part of the ASSE/ANSI US Technical Advisory Group to Project Committee (PC) 283 for the development of ISO 45001, Occupational health and safety management systems.
Banda Group International (BGI) proudly served as part of the ASSE/ANSI US Technical Advisory Group to Project Committee (PC) 283 for the development of ISO 45001, Occupational health and safety management systems. For the past 4 years, Patrick White, CSP; BGI's Corporate Director of Quality/Environmental Health Safety; has spent numerous hours with the Technical Advisory Group, collaborating with other Subject Matter Experts and Industry Leaders from across the nation to assist in forming this critical consensus standard, with the aim of providing a safer environment for workers around the globe. We extend our deepest gratitude to the US TAG Leadership Team for their tireless efforts in guiding us all through the collaboration process, to all the members of the team for their contributions, to all the organizations supporting them through our collective participation, and to the international safety community as a whole.
We would also like to acknowledge our similar participation in PC 302 for the revision of ISO 19011, Guidelines for auditing management systems. With ISO 45001 being written to conform to the same “High Level Structure” provisioned in the ISO Annex SL, it is integrable with ISO 9001, Quality Management systems - Requirements and ISO 45001, Environmental Management. Being involved in PC’s for both ISO 45001 and 19011 adds to our subject matter expertise as an EHS and Technical Services Management Consulting firm.
BGI now has a deep understanding of ISO 45001, as well as the methodology by which it should be implemented and audited. We look forward to helping others on their journey to successful implementation for safer work environments around the world.
